Some very lucky students got to make their own rock ‘n’ roll history during Memphis’ opening night performance at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa. During the musical’s big finale, “Steal Your Rock ‘n’ Roll” on November 6, the cast of the Tony-winning musical was joined by students from the Anaheim Performing Arts Conservatory, the Orange County School of the Arts and alumni from Six Days of Broadway. The flash mob, which featured everyone wearing Memphis T-shirts, marked the culmination of the Inspire Change program, which allows students to benefit from in-classroom educational workshops prior to seeing a show. To get ready for this performance, the kids worked with Segerstrom Center's teaching artist Dalisa Krauss on choreography and lyrics to be spotlight ready for Memphis. Check out the students in action, then get your tickets to see Memphis, which plays through November 18.
