Josh Young on Feeling at Home as Che and Why This Version of Evita is the Best-Sung Ever

In Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita, the story of Argentina’s First Lady's rise to power is told from the perspective of Eva Peron and an Argentine man named Che. Tony nominee Josh Young (Jesus Christ Superstar) plays the iconic role of the revolutionary in this hit revival. In the video below, Young talks about his character, who he describes as “an everyman with a strong point of view,” as well as how he’s never felt more at home in a role than he does with Che. The national tour of Evita, which Young says is one of the “best-sung versions ever,” will play Segerstrom Center for the Arts from December 10 through 22.
